Tim Van Orten's Broc Obama Smoothie

I saw the youtube video for this on Tim's website www.RunningRaw.com. I don't hate broccoli at all, but I never imagined putting it in a smoothie. Dates, Blueberries, bananas all make sense, but I had to try it for myself. I gotta be honest. It was really good. I'll definitely do this again someday.

Being organized in 2012

Started a workbook to organize my time better this year. It's really great. It's written like a calendar with a theme for the month and goals to achieve week by week. For the last two days I've woken up and NOT turned my TV on. This has allowed me to stay more focused on work I do in the am, and be more efficient. But I was only watching the news..... The picture is some BBQ style kale chips I dehydrated with sea salt, agave, chipotle, and olive oil. From Ani's Raw Essentials. This was a special request from my friends GF so I made enough to share with the homies at work.
it's getting cold.

I live in a small apartment with no heat. I use my dehydrator more
often in the winter because my food choices are different than they are
during the spring and summer. So there's an added bonus of my apartment
being slightly warmed up by the dehydrator. I never turn it up over 105
and went full blast one night last year when it was freezing and it
instantly stopped working. That was a Nesco pro and I replaced it a
while back with a small Excalibur. Well I'm happy to say while I sit
here watching Monday Night Football I've officially started dehydrator
season. BBQ kale, banana, and brazil nut pancakes (with homemade date
syrup.) It'll be just a little warmer in here tonight. Also, I
replaced my stolen .45 Glock with a .40 S&W. Shot it for the first
time yesterday.

Had some strawberries and a banana that needed to be used right away. why not blend them up with some cacao, flax meal, and spirulina and dehydrate it into a sheet of fruit leather. My dehydrator heats my apartment a little so this is the only time this summer I've even used it.
