I've been making this rad banana bread a couple times a week for a month or more.  It's become very popular with all my friends so I have to keep making it.  The original recipe is from Ani's Dessert book.  I pretty much wing it now.  I'll add a few pecans, or goji berries, raisins, or cacao nibs.  Throw in some medjool dates to sweeten if you want.  I've played around with how thick to make it in the dehydrator.  I've found that I like it to be a little on the thick side.  The picture above is the latest batch and the thickest I've made it.  probably about 1/4.

If you haven't figured out that I love my dehydrator yet, you haven't beenpaying attention.  I've been so busy lately that It's been hard dedicating a lot of time to my food preparation.  It's always easy to soak some nuts overnight and dehydrate fruit for a day or two, and that's been saving me a lot.

Here's some bananas and apples I dehydrated.  and a bowl of almonds for some "milk."

I finally got some "nut millk bags" from some hippie on ebay and I love them.  I'm usually happy with the texture after straining just twice.  I sometimes add more water after straining to mellow out the flavor.  do what works for you.

This picture has dried almonds after soaking.  Oat groats being prepared to become oatmeal.  and dried blueberries, strawberries, banana, coconut meat, apples, and mango.

Sorry I'm smiling in this picture.  the photographer is an asshole. she said I had to.
